HyEngine Solutions
HyEngine Solutions is a company, specialized in hydrogen technology and testing and developing engines. Due to its small flexible structure with a team of specialists, HyEngine stands out to other testing facilities. On top of the research, support and training, HyEngine focusses on renewing technologies, energy sources and measuring environments. A full stretch of preliminary research, simulation, development, prototyping, implementation and support are offered, as well as individual and customized services.
Our Technology
HyEngine Solutions believes in clean power for our future environment, and at the same time we recognize the everlasting importance of internal combustion engines. Therefore, HyEngine developed a patented technology to modify internal combustion engines to run on Hydrogen, while maintaining the original performance of the engine.
Implementations
We are currently working on several hy-tech projects such as: the Hy-Racer the Hy-Kart, the Hy-Mega and the forklift. These projects are all based on our patented technology and will therefore achieve maximum results with same engine content as an engine running on fossil fuels.
Customer problem
Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engines have always been linked to typical problems such as “backfire” and low performance compared with fossil fuels.
Backfire
Most H2 ICE (internal combustion engine) constructors have severe difficulties with backfire problems. Backfire occurs when a combustion outside the combustion chamber (intended place for controlled combustion) takes place. All these backfires are a loss of power and waste of fuel. They also contribute to accelerated engine wear.
Low performance
Most H2 ICE constructors have difficulties obtaining a reasonable level of performance. The overall efficiency of H2 ICE is 45-50% when compared with fossil fuel engines with the same cc.
Solution
HyEngine has solved these problems with its patented technology. We have currently reached an efficiency of 80%* with no use of turbo or compressors. However, some updates and adaptations should allow us to reach more in the near future.
